High jump

Ranked as one of the best sophomore girls’ high jumpers in the nation with her school record-setting clearance of 5-8, equalling the third best performance in Ventura County history. The county and Marmonte League champion placed second at the Division II finals and third at the Masters Meet, qualifying for the state championships. For hobbies, French likes playing soccer and traveling on mission trips. Her favorite movies are Hot Rod, Dumb and Dummer plus Walk to Remember. Former women’s soccer great Mia Hamm is French’s favorite athlete. She enjoys eating pasta and watching “That ’70s Show” and “The Office.”
