Area athletes emerged from the Arcadia Invitational with four national No. 1 high school track and field rankings Saturday.

Agoura High's Johnathan Cabral posted national-leading marks in two events, Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley recorded the fastest girls' 3,200-meter run in the country and anchored the school's 4x1,600 relay to the top of the U.S. list.

Not far behind the national leaders in the girls discus is Alex Morgan of Ventura, who is No. 4 in the country after her winning throw of 155 feet, 5 inches. Morgan was fifth in the invitational shot put at 41-11 .

Cabral's winning time in the boys 110 hurdles was not only a meet record, it moved him to No. 10 on the all-time national list. Only Kevin Craddock's time of 13.39 for James Logan in 2004 rates better in state history. The senior also won the 300 hurdles with a nation-leading time of 36.42, the fastest time in area history.

Baxter, the 2010 Gatorade girls national cross country runner of the year, shave 23 seconds off her personal best in the 3,200, winning with a 10:14.11, which is the second-best in Ventura County history and fourth-fastest in meet history.

On Friday, Simi Valley produced the nation's fastest time in the girls 4x1,600 relay with a winning time of 20:26.16.

Baxter anchored with a 4:53.0. Other team members were Milana Maddalone (5:08), Erika Barr (5:05) and Karla Vernola (5:18).
