Lauren Thai, a senior at Thousand Oaks High in California who transferred from Agoura High, won the invitational girls 100-meter hurdles in a wind-aided 14.84 seconds and prevailed in the invitational long jump with a leap of 18-7.75 (5.68m) at the Ventura County Championships at Moorpark High. Thai also helped the Lancers finish second in the invitational 4x100-meter relay in 49.50 and finished fourth in the invitational 100-meter dash in 12.21.
